CASHCODE READY FOR NEW CANADIAN $100 BILLS

Concord, Ontario, Canada. March 17, 2004 - CashCode Company Inc., a world leader in banknote validation technology, has incorporated new software upgrades to accommodate the new Canadian $100 notes.

The new $100 notes were launched by the Bank of Canada and officially put into circulation. The new $100 note incorporates state-of-the-art security features designed to combat counterfeiting. There are four new security features that protect the $100 bank note against counterfeiting: a metallic holographic stripe, a watermarked portrait, a windowed colour-shifting thread, and a see-through number. The note also incor- porates enhanced versions of security features with which Canadians are already familiar, such as raised ink (intaglio), fine-line printing, and improved fluorescence under ultraviolet lighting.

“All CashCode’s current products will be supporting this new bill. Our newer BackLoad SM, Stackerless VU and FrontLoad products have been designed for these new higher security notes,” - stated VP Sales & Marke- ting Sim Bielak. Whenever a new banknote is introduced or changes made to an existing banknote, CashCode develops a new software package that captures the specific characteristics inherent to the new note.”

CashCode’s software upgrade process is two-tiered and typically takes three months to develop, test and fully implement. First, a software upgrade is produced and released specifically to handle the new bill. The second stage includes a tracking process that determines how the software has adapted to the currency in a variety of what CashCode calls street or used bill transactions.

CashCode manufactures banknote validators for the gaming, vending/bottling, transportation, petroleum,retail, kiosk and amusement industries.
