1. Product Manager - CPS Vending
Reports to: Director of Marketing and New Product Development, Crane Payment Solutions
Location: Primary work location in Williston, SC
Job Summary:
The Product Manager will be responsible for market strategy, new product development and product life cycle management within the Vending vertical market segment of Crane Payment Solutions. This includes driving priority projects through the New Product Development tollgate process. Measurements of success will be market penetration of new products, product differentiation and overall growth in the Vending market vertical. This product manager position will provide leadership and direction for the Vending Vertical and will own the trade-off decisions for new products and value propositions against the competition. The Product Manager will work closely and partner with the Vending sales vertical leader.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Work with sales vertical leader to develop and drive product roadmap and market strategy for the Vending market vertical, including plans to meet revenue, margin, and market share objectives.
- Monitor market trends and customer needs. Identify key industry and customer events that will drive new products and revenue.
- Conduct competitive analysis and strategy development.
- Create Vending payment solutions marketing materials/positions for new product release, including product differentiation, pricing strategies, value proposition and ROI.
- Represents CPS interests/assures awareness of industry relevant protocol/standards development.
- Create new product business cases including sales projections and identification of lead customers.
- Lead Customer validation sessions throughout the NPD tollgate process to assure the Customer value drivers are being met.
- Ownership of product trade-offs as the product moves through the product life cycle from invention to end of life.
- Lead cross functional project team to complete the New Product Development process for all new Vending payment solutions products.
- Work with the Engineering team to develop detailed new product specifications that support the business case requirements.
- Become the internal point person for all functional groups to help resolve customer issues and complete product life cycle management. Owns PS inputs to vending SIOP process. Strong customer interfacing and collaboration with ASM”s, FSE’s and Currenza Sales Engineers.
- Work with the Service organization to develop and implement the product’s service strategy. Owns internal service center metrics and external ASC providers.
- Work closely with sales teams to create commercial proposals that align to the business unit financial and customer satisfaction objectives.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field – Electrical/Mechanical Engineering - or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Master’s degree in business is beneficial.
- 5+ years of hands on proven experience associated with market strategy, product management and leadership skills
- Proven successful track record in new product launch.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact based decisions.
- Excellent teamwork and communications with customers, customer service and associates.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office suite software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to drive a project team and develop action plans.
- Business development experience preferre

2. Sales Engineer – CPS Vending
Position: Sales Engineer – CPS Vending
Department: Sales
Report to: CPS North America Vending Sales Leader
Job Summary:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for achieving the sales and gross margin targets for Currenza product within particular territory. This Sales Engineer will be field focused “Product Expert” and will be spending up to 75% in customer facing activities.
Responsibilities:
- Works with sales team to represent Currenza to CMS customers (i.e. Direct and/or Bottler).
- Collaborates with channel ASMs to drive payment systems sales.
- Directly engages in all “Best Few” customer opportunities to support evaluation process of Currenza product.
- Works with key buying influences within customer accounts (Operations Manager, Business Leader, Technical Managers).
- Works in conjunction with ASM to provide value proposition to our customers on Currenza and develop the account into a longterm Currenza customer.
- Actively uses STARS/Currenza funnel to prioritize activity/opportunity within territory.
- Develops contacts and relationship with customers to ensure that we are fully aware of their needs.
- Possess drive, motivation and attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities are captured and explored.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field – Electrical/Mechanical Engineering - or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- 5+ years of hands on proven experience in selling similar type of product.
- A sound understanding of the Vending market, particularly in sales, negotiation, technology and channel.
- Confident negotiator and ability to “close the deal”.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to keep promises/manage expectations.
- Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions.
- Disciplined, analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent teamwork and communications with customers, customer service and associates.
- Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone and presentation.
